I remembered on Friday that I'm signed up for the Helsinki City Run, which is on May 9. It's a half marathon, or 21.097 kilometers. I've run a bunch of half marathons in my day, but normally I train a little better for them. I'm actually kind of nervous!
Last year Troy and I tried the brilliant gummi-bear-per-mile tactic at the Indy Mini, which worked pretty well. But I'm pretty sure they won't have mile markers, and instead will have kilometer markers. And that makes 21 bears -- kind of a lot.
Anyway, my race number is 6813, in case you're looking.

Our trip to Spain
I hope to write a more detailed post later about the spectacular biking trip I went on in Spain with Kimmo and Mike, but here are some photos.

Nakkila
I went to Kimmo's hometown a few weekends ago. We hung out with his mom, cooked some, and checked out the bustling town of Nakkila.

A 'nakki' is a small sausage, like a vienna sausage you might find in the U.S., so 'Nakkila' can be translated as 'wiener town'. Awesome!

Here's the river:

Here's the beach, where Nakkila residents go swimming:

And here's the sport course, one pull-up bar next to a fence:
